NRPA Third-Party Providers & Exhibitor Scams

Unfortunately, year-over-year NRPA receives reports of third-party companies soliciting business from exhibiting companies, including the selling of attendee lists, hotel rooms, display installation and more. These companies misrepresent themselves as official providers and use the strength of the NRPA brand without sufficient benefit for what they charge. Oftentimes, these companies will not deliver the promised service, or poor-quality products and services with minimal customer service. These companies may not be present at the show site to assist with any issues, thus causing more headaches and costs to exhibitors. The NRPA Annual Conference official providers will be on hand at the show site to provide services and customer service to our exhibitors. Please familiarize yourself with the providers noted below.

Official Service Contractor

As the official service contractor, Hargrove manages on-site logistics, including design, transportation, rental of furniture, flooring, labor, and more.

Official Housing Provider

MCI USA is the only official housing provider for the NRPA Annual Conference. We understand that unauthorized housing companies may contact you and advertise lower rates or claim to be affiliated with NRPA. Unfortunately, some past attendees have fallen prey to these companies and were unable to recuperate the money they spent on rooms that did not exist. If you are contacted by any organization that is NOT MCI USA, please notify us at events@nrpa.org before providing any information to a housing vendor.

Room poaching is carried out by third-party companies unaffiliated with the NRPA Annual Conference that act as travel agencies, wholesalers, or destination management companies to solicit attendees and exhibitors for room reservations.

The poacher might inform an exhibitor or attendee that the hotel room block is “virtually sold out” and that if the company doesn’t book immediately, they may not get a room for the NRPA Annual Conference if not booked immediately. Implied affiliation with the event is strong, even though the organization is not officially sanctioned by NRPA. Additional deceptive tactics include the use of our logo, and distributing forms or promotional materials that appear to be issued by NRPA.

Registration and Lead Retrieval Provider

MCI USA is the official registration provider for the NRPA Annual Conference. MCI USA provides registration support, both online and on-site. Lead capture devices and services can also be purchased from MCI USA.

Official Audiovisual Provider

CCR Solutions is the only authorized audiovisual provider for exhibitors at the NRPA Annual Conference. CCR Solutions provides rental of monitors, computers, sound equipment, and various stands and accessories.

Official Insurance Provider

AH&T Insurance is the authorized official insurance provider for exhibitors at the NRPA Annual Conference. AH&T Insurance provides General Liability for any exhibitor needing this product. If you have liability insurance, please submit a copy to exhibits@nrpa.org.

Attendee List Scams

The NRPA Annual Conferences does not sell or make attendee information available to third parties who are not official providers. Any person or entity who solicits you to purchase such a list did not obtain it from the NRPA and therefore may not have what they are purporting to sell. Exercise caution with respect to any such offers and know that these persons or entities have no connection to NRPA. Exhibitors should be wary of any directory listings that are not NRPA.
